Pecan Acres Ranch Advertising Scrapbook
This collection contains an oversized scrapbook of newspaper and magazine clippings, brochures, articles, and other promotional materials about Pecan Acres Ranch, a ranch in Simonton, Texas, purchased by Vernon W. Frost in 1946 to herd and sell Brahman cattle. The scrapbook broadly chronicles the sales and acquisitions of Brahmans at the ranch, as well as appearances at livestock shows and auctions in Houston and across Texas.
Ruth Pennybacker Papers
The Ruth Pennybacker Collection consists of the teaching aids she used in class, photocopies of plays, news clippings, and programs.The materials in the collection date from 1967 to 1981 with a bulk dating from the 1970s. Included in the collection is a scrapbook crafted in 1967 by her students, colleagues, and friends as a tribute to Ruth Pennybacker, as well as items relating to the Play Reader Groups, news clippings, correspondence, and plays used as part of the classroom curriculum.
Marcella Perry Papers
This collection contains materials related to Marcella Perry's work as a banker and politician between 1945 and 1985. The contents are broken up into two series: News, Events, and Correspondence; and Photos, Scanned Documents, and Scrapbooks. The sequencing is chronological and maintains the original structure created by Marcella and her family as closely as possible.
