This collection contains news clippings and other publications related to the history of the Port of Houston, compiled by William A. Bernrieder, Executive Secretary of the Cruiser Houston Committee and former assistant to Houston mayor Oscar Holcombe.

Houston Heights is situated northwest of downtown Houston, Texas. This Collection contains records from the Houston Abstract Company, the Houston Title Guaranty Company, the Stewart Title Company, and the Southern Abstract and Title Company. This collection consists of 10 abstracts of title and deed for the property in the Heights district, in the city of Houston and Harris County, filed from 1896 to 1941.
