The bulk of materials in the Arte Publico Press archives consists of multiple typescript drafts of published works use for editing. The collection also includes rejected manuscript submissions as well as marketing and design materials, correspondence, and other administrative records.

The Dr. Nicolás Kanellos Theater Collection consists of 9 boxes of manuscripts, printed materials, photographs, and publications related to Hispanic theater dating from 1972 to 2015. The collection includes materials collected by Dr. Kanellos as well as documentation of his 1985 exhibit "Two Centuries of Hispanic Theatre in the United States."
