Biographical Information
McLaran family patriarch John McLaran was born in Scotland in 1760. His son James McLaran was born in Maryland in 1799. The McLaran family migrated to Mississippi and Texas in the early 19th century.
Acquisition Information
Materials were donated to Special Collections by James Stubbs in November 2016.
