The James Henderson Lienhard series consists primarily of photographs taken by James Lienhard, from 1927-2017, while he served as an official photographer for the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific theater as well as family photos from his later life. The images from his military service include photographs of a "leper colony" in New Caledonia, the Kinugawa Maru shipwreck, and a camera obscura image made by James Lienhard which includes notes on how he created the image.
