Lily Chapman is an evacuee from Avondale, LA where she was a lifelong resident. She was in the hospital in the days before Katrina. She evacuated with her family before the storm hit first to Monroe, LA, then to Houston. She discusses her evacuation, her family, and apprehensions about returning home.

Devin Hurst is a Twenty three year old aspiring rap artist formally from New Orleans East who wrote a song about Hurricane Katrina. Devin is now living in Houston trying to pursue his mucic career. He feels that living in Houston will be a positive step for his music because there are so many more opportunities in Houston. Devin displays a real love for the city of New Orleans, and hopes to someday return to the place he loves so much.

Stanley and his brother Peter Schmit are Katrina survivors from Miraux Louisiana. They have lived there for thirty years. The interview starts with the Schmits talking about their community before the storm (Lexington Place). Peter starts to describe what he saw the morning after the storm passed; they then describe how they were trapped, rescued and bussed to Houston.

Telitha Turner is a twelfth grade student from the seventh ward in New Orleans and also a Katrina survivor. Telitha and her family are finding it hard to adjust to the different way of way of life here in Houston after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in August of this year. Telitha hopes to return to New Orleans to attend college after graduating from Barbara Jordan High School in may of this year.
