The Herman E. Detering III Photographic Collection contains photographic prints of various people and places in Houston primarily during the 1930s and 1940s, taken by photographers Bob and Marvin Bailey. The photographs were part of an exhibition titled "Houston: A Photographic Portrait, 1930s-1940s," which took place at Detering Book Gallery, owned and operated by Detering III, during FotoFest 1992.
