The Mexican American Alumni Association Records consists of administrative files, financial records, minutes, and correspondence dating from 1987 to 1997. Materials are organized chronologically at the folder level.

Abstract

This collection documents the academic career, community service and advocacy, and local civil rights activist work of Tatcho Mindiola, Professor Emeritus of Sociology and former director of the Center for Mexican American Studies. Materials include correspondence, course planning materials, research data, program files, published and unpublished manuscripts, and a significant amount of published reference material.

The Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists Records consist of consists of a variety of administrative files for the University of Houston chapter. Many of the papers are meeting notes and agendas. Materials are arranged thematically at the folder level without series.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of 26 audio cassettes created as part of José E. Vega's doctoral research on the passage of bilingual education legislation in Texas from 1969 to 1973 as well as follow-up research on bilingual education legislation introduced from 1975 to 1981.
