Historical Information
The Mexican American Alumni Association (M.A.A.A.) was established in the spring of 1987. The M.A.A.A. was established to unite the interests of the University of Houston and Mexican American community. The organization’s bylaws stated that “This association is organized to strengthen the relationship of the alumni to the University of Houston and to advance the interest and promote the welfare of the University of Houston and the Mexican American community.”
